Dinner on the lake

Lake Coeur d'Alene Cruises runs Love on the Lake cruises for Valentine's weekend: 90-minute dinner cruises with a private table, a rose, a glass of rosé, champagne or cider at boarding, and a dinner buffet, plus brunch cruises. The 2027 dates weren't posted when we checked. Last year they ran February 13 to 15, and a dinner table for two was $152.50 including tax and fees.

Its Northern Nights winter dinner cruises serve a seasonal menu from The Coeur d'Alene Resort's chefs on a 90-minute evening on the lake. Dates and prices for 2027 are still to be announced.

A spa day

The Coeur d'Alene Resort Spa is on the Resort's lobby level and open daily from 8 AM to 8 PM. A spa visit includes the indoor pool and hot tubs, the fitness center, and a lakeside meditation room. If you're skiing Schweitzer, Cambium Spa in the village offers recovery services and spa treatments.

Two winter walks

Both are free and start downtown: the Tubbs Hill loop, about two miles around the headland, and the Floating Boardwalk, a twenty-minute loop around the Resort marina that's best at sunset.
