About this property
Welcome to The Blackline Inn, a brand new modern farmhouse at the foot of Tubbs Hill. Mornings start on the trail, afternoons end at the beach, and dinner downtown is a short stroll away. Come home to a game loft with a pool table and arcade, a spa-style primary suite, a dining table for eight and a big front porch made for slowing down. Park the car when you arrive. Everything Coeur d'Alene is known for is right outside the door.
The space
Welcome to The Blackline Inn, a brand new modern farmhouse tucked into Sanders Beach, the neighborhood where Coeur d'Alene's best days begin and end on foot.
Lace up early and you're on the Tubbs Hill trail in minutes, winding through the pines above the lake. Wander down to the boardwalk and marina, spread out on the grass at McEuen Park while the kids hit the playground, or claim a spot on the sand at Sanders Beach. When the sun drops behind the mountains, Sherman Avenue's restaurants, ice cream shops and patios are just a few blocks away, so nobody has to be the driver.
Back at the house, there's room for everyone to land. Pull up a stool at the big kitchen island while dinner comes together, then gather the whole crew around a dining table that seats eight. Sink into the velvet sectional by the fireplace, or head upstairs where the game loft turns every evening into a tournament with a pool table, an arcade machine and a game console.
Mornings belong to the porches. Take your coffee out front under the craftsman columns, or around back on the covered deck with the ceiling fan turning and the lawn stretched out beside you. Need to check in with work? A quiet office off the entry has a real desk and a reading chair, so the laptop can stay out of the vacation.
When it's time to wind down, the primary suite feels like a boutique hotel: a king bed, French doors out to a private balcony, a walk-in closet and a bath with a freestanding soaking tub, a marble walk-in shower and dual vanities. Two more bedrooms with walk-in closets give the rest of the family their own space to settle in.
Main floor: an open kitchen, living and dining space with dark hardwood throughout. The kitchen is built for cooking together, with a large granite island with seating, a gas range, open shelving and a full set of cookware. A dining table seats eight, with a second smaller table by the kitchen for coffee and snacks. The living room centers on a deep velvet sectional, a wall-mounted TV and an electric fireplace. A private office sits off the entry with a desk and reading chair, and there's a half bath for guests.
Upstairs: the stairs open onto the game loft with a pool table, arcade machine and game console, plus a fold-out couch for extra sleeping. The primary suite has a king bed, a walk-in closet, French doors to a private balcony and a spa-style bath with a soaking tub, walk-in shower and dual vanities. The second bedroom has two full beds and a walk-in closet, and the third has a queen bed and a walk-in closet. A second full bath with dual vanities serves both rooms, and a laundry room with a full-size washer, dryer and utility sink makes it easy to rinse off beach gear. A toddler bed is available for little ones.
Outside: a deep covered front porch, a covered back deck with a ceiling fan, and a fenced side lawn.
Getting around
Walk everywhere downtown: the beach, the trails, the parks, the shops and the restaurants. For day trips, Silverwood, the Route of the Hiawatha and the area's ski hills are an easy drive, and Spokane International Airport is about 45 minutes away.
Guest access
The main house is entirely yours, along with one covered parking space and additional street parking out front. Once you're parked, you probably won't need the car again until checkout.
Please note there is a separate private apartment above the garage at the back of the property with its own exterior entrance. It is occasionally occupied, and there is no shared indoor space with the main house.
